I have admired WissPeasel back in her days when she blogged and tweeted under a different name, and I can’t believe that this is actually the first time I am welcoming her to the Wicked Wednesday roundup. She’s a beautiful and talented woman, and you should really follow her on Twitter!
Top 3 for week 378 by WissPeasel
I haven’t seriously blogged in a long time. My motivation to write was all but killed off by personal circumstances, so I’ve felt a little distant from the blogging community as a result. So it was lovely to be asked to curate this week’s Top 3 by Marie.
My Top 3 all inspired different feelings and emotions, each unique and separate in their perspective.
Cored by Master’s Musings
Sometimes a post crawls under your skin, and buries itself there, breathing, thriving almost on how it makes you feel. Cored is one such piece.
Grief is a curious beast. It changes you, for a while it becomes you, and you become it, an unwelcome symbiosis. In ‘Cored’, I felt that grief, felt it’s tumult, felt frustration and sadness and, briefly, hope, just as the writer described.
Cored really is an incredibly moving, stunning piece of writing.
When Dirty Girls Dream by Floss Liddell
I could have written this. Every word has, at one time or another, been at the core of my go to fantasies, the ones which sustain me, which make my body crave being taken.
Floss’s words allowed my mind to travel to the room where my basest desires hide, and my god what a journey!
To Blog or Not to Blog by Molly Moore
I’ve followed Molly’s blog for, gosh, must be almost 7 years now (I think!), indeed it was one of the first ones I came across on the subject of submission, and am in awe of her continued dedication to it.
For that reason, visiting Molly’s blog always feels like coming home.
Words are never given another face, her honesty and the beauty of that honesty is what keeps me going back.
For personal reasons, I all but gave up blogging, yet Molly has always used what is deeply personal to her as inspiration to keep writing, to be authentic in her expression of self.
I simply cannot imagine there not being a Molly’s Daily Kiss.
Just talk to us about skin this week…
