From the time Brigit Delaney joined in with Wicked Wednesday for the first time, I was hooked on her writing. When she ‘disappeared’ from her former blog, I frequently checked whether I might have missed an alert to a new blog post. I was SO happy when she returned with a new blog! If you want to see what I am going on about, read her blog and follow her on Twitter.
Top 3 by Brigit Delaney
This was such a fun prompt! I definitely noticed myself drawn to a theme in this week’s fabulous little collection of entries: confident women and the games they play.
“Sexual Confidence” by Livvy Libertine
I must admit, I thought this was a non-fiction piece until I inferred from the comments that it was not. Just the fact that I thought it was Livvy’s real-life experience is testament enough, but I’ll say that I was pulled in by the dialogue and the realistic characters: his furry chest and her plump thighs. It was so real and believable and I connected with it on so many levels. This is a female character I’d love to be more like.
“Sticky Fingers” by Cara Thereon
Cara had me at the first line: “They always underestimate me.” I am a dialogue junkie and I love characters that make feel something. Cara doesn’t disappoint in either category. The story is funny, too, with a spicy little ending that made me question who really got the upper hand.
“Underdog” by Steeled Snake
Oh, the poor, poor man in this story (not really…he’s pretty lucky, I’d say). I cannot imagine resisting this woman’s charms, and the challenge she sets up would have been hard for me to say not to, as well. I won’t spoil the ending, but there really wasn’t any way to lose this game – other than refusing to play.
They say that black is not a color, but generally we do speak of it as a color. Do you like black or not? How do you like it, in clothing or maybe in black and white photography? Share some sexy stories or images for this week’s prompt. As always you can also link stories that do not follow the prompt!
The roundup for this week’s prompt will be done by Confess Hannah.
