Prompt #343: Festivities

In March this year I met May at Eroticon, but there just hadn’t seem to be a moment to sit down and have a conversation with her. Maybe next year we can change that. May did the roundup for week 289 (read it here) and now she’s back with her top 3 for last week’s prompt. You can read May’s lovely stories on her blog or follow her on Twitter.

Top 3

Choosing just 3 stories from a collective of 30 was never going to be easy and particularly with the prompt of Time, which seems to have inspired quite a few very personal and emotive posts. My final list was double the allowance of 3 entries so I think I will share some in a SoSS post in the near future.

Here’s my top 3 for this weeks Wicked Wednesday.

Time, and Why It’s Irrelevant by A Queerer Journey
When I clicked on this link and saw the photo at the top of the post I was sold. It was going to be in my top 3. Then their story buoyed my mood. Reading about their love and how they found each other resonated with me. Starting a relationship in your middle years can be a difficult task as it often involves two established families rather than creating your own.

Time Rendered Meaningless by Melody
This post fascinated me – particularly when Melody talks about the different ways the physical and meta physical worlds treat time. I am a bit of a geek my self at times. The embedded video of Grace Hooper is an absolute gem.

Time by Lascivious Lucy
This is a delicious piece of fiction involving a long distance relationship. Sir is hooked into Natalie’s vibrator so he can control the intensity. He watches from across the world as she attempts to delay her climax. Lucy sets the scene beautifully.

Next week it’s Christmas and the week after that we are entering 2019, and many of us will leave 2018 behind sharing a glass of champagne and looking at fireworks. Some of us love this time of year, others hate it. Some see it as a time to rest and others can’t get enough of running from the one party to the next. Come share your festive stories, whether you love this time of year or not.

As always you can also link stories that do not follow the prompt!

The roundup for this week’s prompt will be done by Marie Rebelle.
