Prompt #267: Venus in Fur

Honey… when I see her name on Twitter or think of her, I always smile. Honey has become such a good friend and someone I always look forward to seeing. It’s only the distance that prevents us from spending much more time together. Honey of Happy Come Lucky is a sexy woman, outspoken, honest, sweet, caring, beautiful… and oh, did I mention sexy?
You can find Honey on her blog as well as on Twitter.

Top 3 by Honey

When the wonderful and beautiful Marie asked me to pick a top three for Wicked Wednesday, I said yes straight away. I’ve spent a delightful time this week reading the entries and enjoying them. I then started the tricky job of trying to narrow it down to three.

So, here goes…

No Space For Sex
First is the amazing Marie. Her post is so honest and took me right back to when my dad was dying of cancer and the impact it had on me. It’s not sexy but it is, unfortunately a part of so many of our lives. The way it changes how we feel is devastating. This is such an important post and I wish I could protect Marie from what she is going through – it is part of living and definitely part of loving someone passionately.

Modest Bathtime
Next is Modesty Ablaze. Just looking at this makes me desperately want a bath – but only if it comes with the amount of delight that she has.

Wicked Wednesday #266 — Bubbles
The last one is both a delight and my fear. This is exactly why you don’t see bath and shower pics of me. Read it to see the twist in the ongoing tale. Somehow F Dot Leonora manages to spin every week into a new delight in her series.

Prompt

Venus in Fur… the novel draws themes, like female dominance and sadomasochism, and character inspiration heavily from Sacher-Masoch’s own life. Wanda von Dunajew, the novel’s central female character, was modelled after Fanny Pistor, who was an emerging literary writer. The two met when Pistor contacted Sacher-Masoch, under assumed name and fictitious title of Baroness Bogdanoff, for suggestions on improving her writing to make it suitable for publication.
