Prompt #262: Blinded

I was planning to do the top 3 for this week, but since mom was discharged from hospital yesterday morning, ran a high fever last night and re-admitted to hospital this morning, gravely ill, I shouted out to the community asking for someone to take over the top 3 of this week on very short notice. Molly was the first to respond, but not the only. Thank you all so much for being as fabulous as you are! I cannot express in words how much I appreciate it and how much I love this community!

Top 3 of week 261, chosen by Molly

This morning I got a group DM from Rebel saying her Mum was back in hospital and could someone help her out with the round-up. I was the first person who answered and so here I am back on Wicked Wednesday bringing you my top 3 posts of the week.

The Story of O (4) – Tears – Rebel’s Notes
Let’s start with our fabulous host Rebel. She has been writing a short series about The Story of O and how key parts of it have resonated with her. This one is about tears and crying and really spoke to me. Like Rebel crying is definitely a thing for me and it is not about fear or pain but a release of emotion that is intensely powerful. Rebel often writes about her submission and D/s relationship in a way I can strongly identify with and this is a perfect example of that.

IT’S ALL RELATIVE – your caning, my caning – Pain as Pleasure
I am a big believer in ‘Your kink is not my kink but your kink is OK’ and this excellent post applies that idea to pain and endurance when it comes to impact play. I hope that anyone who doubts their ‘ability’ to take pain and that it somehow speaks to their level of kinkiness or submission reads this and realises that the two are not directly related at all.

In the Name of Mutual Pleasure – Kayla Lords
I love this thoughtful piece about comparing the experience of enduring cold water to how she submits to her partner. Eventually the experiences diverge as one becomes predictable but the other never does.
