Prompt #33: Afternoon Delight

Welcome to week 33 of Wicked Wednesday.

The rules for this meme can be found here and you can download the Wicked Wednesday badge on the same page.

There will be a prompt every week to help those who need a little push of inspiration to put something to paper… Or rather, to know which keys to touch.
Please note that it is not compulsory to follow the prompt. It is only here for inspiration when you need it!

This week’s prompt is:

I have always loved this song, but only recently learned that it has a sexual undertone. Yep, I really did not know.

Here are the lyrics to Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band:

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto’s always been; when it’s right, it’s right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything’s a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin’ of you’s workin’ up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin’ sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
and the thought of rubbin’ you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn’t bite
But you’ve got some bait a waitin’ and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin’ ‘for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

      1. Is it possible that the names of the writer is listed instead of the blog post? I would like to be familiar with the names at first glance, instead of the title post ~ Such a suggestion ~

        1. The link tool we use is pre-programmed. If an author put his/her own name in the field for ‘Link name’ it is possible to see who wrote the piece. Otherwise you can hold the cursor on the link and you will see to whose blog it will lead you :)
